Custom Suit Measurements

Use a CLOTH measuring tape and have an assistant help!
Measure the circumference of the head at mid brow above the ears. If wearing a wig, include it when taking your measurement.
Wrap tape measure around your neck.
Sitting firmly in a chair measure your waist at belly button level
Make sure you are standing and measure your waist at belly button level
Hold the measuring tape at belly button, drop tape and let your measuring partner, pull the tape through your legs and bring up to the base of your spine at the top of your buttocks.
Hold the tape measure at your side, aligning it with the height of your belly button. Let the rest of the tape drop straight down to the floor. Have an assistant measure from your belly button height down to your ankle bone to determine the outseam.
Measure around the fullest part of your buttocks, ensuring the tape is on the same level and parallel to the ground, passing over your genital area. This measurement is your hip size.
Starting at the edge of your neck, measure across to the point where your shoulder meets your arm at the attachment to your torso.
Begin at the prominent knob on the back of your spine at the base of your neck. Hold the tape measure there while your assistant extends it over your shoulder, down along the back of your arm, passing behind your elbow. With your arm bent at a 30-degree angle, measure all the way to just beyond your wrist. This provides the sleeve length measurement.
Starting at the shoulder joint, measure straight down the arm to just beyond the wrist, ending where you want the shirt or coat sleeve to finish.
Measure across your back from one shoulder to the other, ensuring the tape runs straight across the widest part where each arm joins the torso. This will provide your shoulder width measurement.
Wrap the measuring tape around your chest with your arms raised to the sides. Lower your arms gently to rest at your sides, ensuring the tape sits evenly across the fullest part of your chest, over your nipples. Record the measurement.
Starting at the prominent knob on the back of your neck, hold the measuring tape and let it fall straight down along your spine. Record the measurement at the point where your spine meets your buttocks.
Place the measuring tape midway between your neck and shoulder joint. Let the tape drop straight down over your nipple, and record the measurement where it aligns with your belly button.
Start at the prominent knob on the back of your neck, just below your head. Let the measuring tape fall straight down while an assistant guides it along the curve of your back and down to the back of your leg. Record the measurement where the tape reaches the desired point.
Position the measuring tape midway between your neck and shoulder, with an assistant holding the starting point. Imagine a 4-inch Santa belt and place your hand at the height where you want the belt loops to begin. Measure downward from the starting point to the top of your thumb, and record the measurement.
